In middle school, I was assigned a research paper where I had write about what I wanted to do when I grew up. I wrote about Massage Therapy. I took Medical Terminology and Health Science Technology courses in high school and worked as a Physical Therapy Aide during my senior year. After high school, I moved to Colorado to attend college. My major was Surgical Technology, but it was not my passion. There was so much more I could be doing. The same school was offering an Associates Degree program for Massage Therapy. During my very first class, I answered a question and expanded upon it with my own philosophies and beliefs. Two years later, I graduated with an Associates Degree in Massage Therapy. My education is more than just giving people massages. I understand the body and the muscles. Once I graduated from college, I returned to Texas and tested for my Texas massage license, moved to Austin and started working in the field. I have
worked side-by-side with a chiropractors, with yoga studio, and an ‘on-call’ therapist for the historic Driskill Hotel. While working at a corporate massage establishment, I met my long time partner, and we decided to move to Panama, Central America.
After Covid-19 hit, I have had an opportunity to stop and reevaluate my situation and make a change that better suites my massage style and philosophy. Having worked in all types of settings, for over a decade, my technique has evolved into a Medical Massage. I feel that working along side a Chiropractor will bring the greatest benefit to all the patients that pass through our hands. I am very excited about this new opportunity and am looking forward to meeting you!
Costa Rica. There were other massage therapists on the island which was about 13 miles long. Everyone lived in a three-mile radius. We later moved to Chile.
